Meritus Mandarin is in Orchard Road , which is the considered best hotel row in Singapore. The rate is like S$200.00 per night for a twin bed deluxe accommodation at non peak season . The rooms are big and complete with first class amenities . The bathroom is lavishly decorated , it has separate shower and bath tub , the marble tiles on the flooring maybe was installed when the hotel was first built which is quite maybe 10 years now. , but was kept in tip top condition . The towels are average , whites and the old type which could he hard on your face. The cabinets are always refilled everyday such as shoe cleaner , toothbrush, lotion , shampoo, foam bath , sewing kit and hair cap.
The bed is quite comfortable and big for a two single beds , the linens are quite nice all whites from pillow cases , bedsheets , bed covers . The Plasma TV is like 34 inches big , the cabinet is complete with safe , ironing boards and iron . Slippers and hangers .The carpet is kept clean and in tip top condition . The newspaper comes every morning , my only complaint is when you call for like laundry or any other needs from the service dept. they come very much late than you want them.
The hotel entrance is quite busy but austere as per its class , no nonsense desk . I could have the impression that the Hotel Staff have been employed there for quite sometime cause they are quite middle aged and some are like 50's . There are nicely costumed lady Hotel crew that greets you everytime you enter or exit and wish you well .. The doorbell and taxi crews are polite and ready to serve
All in all , you got your money's worth.

i think Meritus Mandarin Hotel is a 4 star hotels, and lots of shops and restaurants located there which you can find some list of the shops at this local site 88db, you can find some famous restaurants like the M Revolving restaurant
