I have been offer as a Software engineer in Dubai.and i am a malaysia chinese. professional in SOftware, IT, relevant 8 years working experience and sufficient skill to justify for the work. i am not a smoker neither a drinker, doenst live very luxury life. but i am doing photography mainly for my hobby. basically i don spent a lot except for clothing and camera accessories.
Company has offer a package with sharing accomodation with another person, and a sharing car in dubai. take back pay is about 7000 SGD or in dirham 17000dollar. All package offered doenst cover Employment Provision Fund.
my current job paid me 5k singapore dollar inclusive of EPF. Do you think if i ask for 24000k to be able to live well in Dubai will be a good pay? what is the minimum pay that says i can live happily there?

The pay correction, the offer is 17k in Dirham , equivalent in Singapore Dollar around 7k
even with 17,000 is a good pay.
I don’t think they’ll grant you the 24k as there’s a lot of Indians here in Dubai who are well versed in IT matters which will accept the same job at 10k.

To live there good happily, you should have 30 000 derham
But if you will ask for hire salary, they will find another candidate to your place
