Hi, my family wants to go on a very short 2 night stay at either Singapore or Malaysia. I live in Vietnam, and I want to go shopping for clothes, books, electronics, etc because Ho Chi Minh city doesn’t have as much variety and quality goods as other countries.
Which is better for shopping? For beaches? Thanks 
. & info on where in these places would be nice to know.
Definitely Singapore! It’s a shopper’s paradise and the food is fantastic.
As far as beaches go, I would recommend Thailand over both Singapore and Malaysia.

Two days is a very short stop, I suggest you go to Penang and stay at Batu Ferringhi area where there’s beach and good shopping malls and great food, and is definitely much cheaper than Singapore. Save your next trip for Sinaporej when you have longer time.

Two night is rather short, I would suggest you to go Singapore for such short vacation. 1 day in Sentosa to enjoy the man made beach, 1 day in Orchard for shopping.
